Migration and Development Policies and Practices – A mapping study of eleven European countries and the European Commission

In Switzerland more than one quarter of the active workforce is foreign-born, contributing to the economic and social wellbeing of my country. In Bangladesh, 13% of the households receiving remittances are below the poverty line compared to 34% not profiting from these financial flows. Two random examples to high-light one simple fact – migration is a development factor around the globe.
