Editora CSEM has just published another book in the Migrations Series: “International Migrations - Human Rights Approaches”, organized by Carmem Lussi.
Human rights approaches to issues related to human mobility is more than the title of the International Seminar that CSEM - Centro Scalabriniano de Estudos Migratórios (Scalabrinian Center for Migration Studies) held in June 2016, with the co-organization of the Institute of International Relations of the University of Brasilia (IRel/UnB) and the Graduate Program in Social Sciences of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGCS/UFRRJ), where, among others, the papers that are the origin of the articles published in this book were presented, and represents much more than a bias of studies and publications. Addressing and promoting human rights approaches to issues and subjects of human mobility is part of the mission and expresses the vision that the Study Center adopts and promotes in its activities and projects. The 22 articles presented in this volume delve into aspects of the reality of human mobility and are interdisciplinary looks at its subjects, the challenges that migration and refuge present for research, policies and society in general.
