Combino reflexiones e investigaciones sobre textos period\u00edsticos de principios de 2003 a febrero de 2004 en varios pa\u00edses. Clasifico los titulares, indicios de movimientos contradictorios pero complementarios, a saber: la voz m\u00e1s alta y la asunci\u00f3n de sentimientos contra el otro, el migrante, por parte de los llamados nacionales, especialmente en pa\u00edses de la Uni\u00f3n Europea y Estados Unidos, y la expansi\u00f3n de movimientos de solidaridad y protestas, incluidas las organizadas por los propios migrantes. Antes del cap\u00edtulo sobre los migrantes en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, hay algo sobre la representaci\u00f3n de los migrantes en la literatura, que ilustra la plasticidad de los conceptos de migrante y extranjero.
