Beyond this perspective, migration can be understood as a strategy that men and women use to deal with adverse situations or adapt to sudden changes in their context (ENGLISH, 2014). Both views have repercussions on the design of migration policies, scientific research on the subject and also on actions to assist and care for people on the move.
