\"\"Contemporary slave labor is a phenomenon typical of the production processes we are experiencing at the current stage of capitalist development, not just in Brazil, but in all regions of the world.<\/p>\n

Among the many points of analysis on the subject that merit attention are a look at mobile populations and the conditions of vulnerability that expose workers to the risks of this type of exploitation.<\/p>\n

In this episode of the \u201cMigration in Focus\u201d podcast, Vitor Camargo interviews Nat\u00e1lia Suzuki, coordinator of the education program \u201cSlavery, no way!\u201d, run by the NGO Rep\u00f3rter Brasil, and a PhD candidate in political science at USP. The conversation is based on the study \u201cSlave labor and gender: who are the enslaved workers in Brazil?\u201d, published by Rep\u00f3rter Brasil, to reflect on the results of the research from the perspective of migration and gender studies.<\/p>\n
