The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) are carrying out this research project, which studies and analyzes the phenomenon of migration and its link to development and aims to offer proposals to improve and strengthen the link between migration and development.

It also aims to be one of the instruments that can be used as a working document at the XXVI Ibero-American Summit to be held in Guatemala in 2018.

This study seeks to understand the current state of migration and development in Ibero-America as a whole, mainly through four vectors: legislation, remittances, associationism and coexistence, and to identify areas for improvement and strengthening of the link between migration and development.
