Migration flows, whether forced or not, have reached unprecedented levels in recent years, which for many leaders and policymakers is seen as a problem to be solved and controlled. Beyond this perspective, migration can be understood as a strategy that men and women use to deal with adverse situations or adapt to sudden changes in their context (ENGLISH, 2014).
