The State Development Financing System (Sifide) and the International Migration and Liaison Institute (IMEI) have adapted support programs to finance migrants returning to San Luis Potosí from the United States.

Under instructions from the state governor, Juan Manuel Carreras López, IMEI and Sifide are coordinating actions so that migrants returning from the United States can set up productive projects in their places of origin.

Consequently, they generate new sources of work that strengthen the growth and development of their communities of origin.

The head of Sifide, Christian Meade Hervert, said that migrants are people with a natural vocation for entrepreneurship, and indicated that they are people of commitment, who take risks to achieve a better future.

The head of the Migration and Institutional Liaison Institute, Enrique Malacara Martínez, indicated that the institute works with state government departments to generate specialized products aimed at migrants and promote their productive activity.

The teams in both offices work together to support migrants in starting new businesses.
