It's a different Italy from the Refugees Welcome data. The association that promotes family reunification for refugees over the last eight days has seen an increase of over 80% in registrations for the platform. "It's as if we've witnessed an explosion of civil society. Among the motivations for deciding to take this step, many point to the need to get active at a time of great pressure from the government", says Musicco, President of Refugees Welcome Italia, who, in addition to the increase in exemptions, has also seen a strong increase in the demand for volunteers.
This is one of the messages received from the Association: "Let's do something concrete to help those in difficulty. We believe it would be fair for those, like us, who live in a country that is less disadvantaged than others and who are going through a historical phase in which the sense of humanity seems to be eroded. We really hope that, in our own small way, we can make a difference".
Novanta le famiglie che hanno partecipato al progetto negli ultimi two anni e mezzo. A mixed target, from young children, to the elderly, to families with children. "Solitarily, relationships last between six months and a year. Someone changes and the person remains within the family. It is certain that in many cases the opportunity to be welcomed home represents a real and proper sliding door moment for the people who, in this way, enter a rich relationship circuit."
