The experience of moving leaves a deep mark on the emotions of those who move. Among other things, identity references are transformed and the practical orientations of everyday life are changed. In this article, we show that the experience of moving - and in particular, emigration to the United States - also affects the religious practices and beliefs of Mexicans who move. This impact is manifested, among other things, in the trans-nationalization of traditional religious practices, in some processes of conversion, and in the impact of ethnicities on the representation of religious diversity.
