We would like to present the biography of the Servant of God Mother
Assunta Marchetti written by Laura Bondi, a Scalabrinian missionary.
We offer this opera mainly to the Suore Missionarie di San
Carlo Borromeo-Scalabriniane, born from the mind and generous heart of a
Italian people, the Blessed Giovanni Battista Scalabrini, for giving assistance
to the migrants and migrant posts under the aegis of a great saint of the Church
of the 16th century, San Carlo Borromeo. With these pages we want to give a
response to the desire most often manifested from the sweat and clearly expressed
in its last General Chapter: to have consistent tests available
to understand the life and work of our co-foundress, Mother Assunta
Marchetti. At the same time, this could be an even greater instrument
to spread life and devotion to the Servant of God, with the auspice
che in un futuro primo la Chiesa, nostra Madre, riconosca la sua santità.
However, experience insists that a biography, even if it is in-depth, can hardly
you can transfer all the wealth from a difficult life
e complessa como quella vissuta da Madre Assunta, ma dice pure che può
always represent a point of departure for producing documents that are more
esaustivi.
