One of the worst moments I had as a migrant (as opposed to considering myself an immigrant) was when a prejudiced person called me "you people".

 One of the worst moments I had as a migrant (as opposed to considering myself an immigrant) was when a prejudiced person called me "you people". It was as if I was taking all the blame for something I didn't even know what it was. I stopped being me, an individual, a person, Flávio, and became a collective, forced by someone's prejudiced will. That person didn't consider me; to them, I was: them, the others... "you"!
