This study is the second publication in the OBIMID Collection of the Ibero-American Observatory on Human Mobility, Migration and Development (OBIMID), based at the University Institute for Migration Studies at the Pontifical Comillas University in Madrid (http://www.comillas.edu/es/obimid ). OBIMID is a network that brings together various institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean, Portugal and Spain, linked to research, teaching and advocacy in public policy and human rights, on human mobility, migration and development in the Ibero-American region.
