Call for Papers: REMHU 50 and REMHU 51

 

REMHU, Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Mobility (www.csem.org.br/remhu or www.scielo.br/remhu), announces that in August 2017 the n. 50 of the magazine with a DOSSIER on the theme "Ethical dilemmas of migration".

Some themes that can be addressed:

  • The role of ethics in managing migratory flows;
  • Ethics and different treatment of foreigners and locals;
  • "Immigration law"?
  • Ethical foundations for living with otherness;
  • Ethics, the common good and social cohesion;
  • Hospitality in contemporary philosophical reflection.

In addition to the dossier, REMHU also includes a ARTICLES SECTION on any subject related to national and international migration: works for this section can be submitted for evaluation.

Articles can be written in Portuguese, Italian, English or Spanish and should be sent directly via the journal's website www.csem.org.br/remhu until the day May 31, 2017All manuscripts must contain no more than 45,000 characters with spaces (including an abstract and 3/5 keywords in English). All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be evaluated by two or more anonymous referees who are experts in the field, and confidentiality will be guaranteed throughout the review process.

number 51 The December 2017 issue of the magazine will include a dossier on the theme: "Migrants and refugees in the Mediterranean" (date for submission of articles, August 31, 2017).

  • Flows, their causes and characteristics;
  • The challenges of mixed flows;
  • Displacement management policies;
  • The work of NGOs in defending and promoting the rights of migrants and asylum seekers;
  • Human rights violations of migrants and refugees in the Mediterranean;
  • Socio-political responses from the perspective of protecting the rights of migrants and refugees (among others)

REMHU is indexed in SciELO Brazil, Redalyc, DOAJ, Clase and Latindex, with the best Qualis A2 classification (anthropology).

The Issue No. 50 of the Revista Interdisciplinary Human Mobility (www.csem.org.br/remhu owww.scielo.br/remhu) will be published in August 2017 with a Dossier on "Ethical dilemmas of migration".

  • Role of ethics in the management of migration flows;
  • Ethics and differentiated treatment between foreigners and indigenous people;
  • Ethical foundations of a "right to Immigrate?";
  • Ethical foundations of coexistence with otherness;
  • Ethics, common good and social cohesion;
  • Hospitality in contemporary philosophical reflection.

The journal also contains Articles Section which provides a forum for any subject related to national and international migration. Works for this general section may also be submitted for evaluation.

All articles (between 35 and 45 thousand characters with spaces, including the abstract and keywords (3 to 5) in the original language of the article, the abstract and key-words in English) should be submitted directly to the REMHU website (www.csem.org.br/remhu). The deadline for submission is on May 31st, 2017.
