A mobilidade humana nos países com presença MSCS

International migration is a phenomenon that has been part of human history in different forms and with varying degrees of intensity. In today's context of diversification of places of origin, transit and destination, the different types of displacement involve new realities and demands that often require urgent and challenging responses. Contemporary migration is increasingly complex and dynamic, which allows us to speak of a movement with global dimensions.

In recent years, there has been an increase in displacement not only due to so-called globalization - which encourages the flow of goods, capital and services - the development and cheapening of technologies and means of communication and transport, or due to uneven demographic growth in various countries. Armed conflicts, climatic events and environmental disasters, growing discrimination against minority groups, poverty, inequality and the lack of decent working conditions are among the main reasons why people leave their countries of origin in search of a better future for themselves and their families.

It is in this context that the Scalabrinian Center for Migration Studies - CSEM has just published an updated version of the report HUMAN MOBILITY IN COUNTRIES WHERE THE MISSIONARY SISTERS OF SAINT CARLOS BORROMEO - SCALABRINIANS ARE PRESENTseeking to present current data on the international scenario of human mobility, especially in the countries where the MSCS Sisters work, based on official United Nations reports.
