EXODUS, EXILE, DIASPORA

Exodus is synonymous with flight. From an etymological point of view, "mass departure". Escape from slavery, as we read in the biblical account of ancient Egypt. Escape from catastrophes and natural disasters, with their consequences, such as prolonged droughts, floods, landslides, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, fires. However, there is also flight from armed conflicts or declared wars; from poverty, misery and hunger; in short, flight from inhospitable, devastated, razed lands. The crowds flee in droves, driven by needs or devastation that are completely beyond their power to intervene in. Others because they find themselves trapped in work analogous to slavery, such as debts contracted in advance with obscure and unscrupulous employers, as can be seen in the clearing of the forest, among other services of this kind. This also includes law enforcement operations to dismantle human trafficking, particularly of women and children, for labor or sexual exploitation.
