The border is a broad concept which, beyond the geopolitical view, whose meaning is restricted to a dividing line between two or more nations, also encompasses the social and geographical border and cross-border space of cultural and socio-economic interaction where various flows pass through - goods, contraband, drugs and, of course, people.
