A demonstration, called in Pamplona by the Harrera Aurrera platform, brought together several dozen people who demanded "a real welcome policy" for all migrants.
Their demands in favor of opening the borders were reflected in English and Spanish in the slogan of the call "Mugak eraitsi, ateak ireki. Open the borders, open the doors", which headed the march that began in Navarrería Square and ended with a rally at the doors of the government delegation.
During the route, the demonstrators have chanted slogans such as "No houses without people, no people without houses", "We also want to live here", "No person is illegal", "Down with the walls of shame", "Free movement is the solution" or "Native or foreigner, the same working class".
The movement, which comes after days of reflection and learning, aims to generate a debate, a reflection on "how sustainable housing policies can be created", Natalia Nilo, spokesperson for the conveners, told the journalists.
In this sense, he emphasized that they would like to "recover the public space, the political space, open a debate on how the issue of access is being managed".
In this respect, he pointed out that, in his opinion, "it should be done from below, from the neighborhoods, from neighbor to neighbor, from the social movement".
"The social movement has a political responsibility in the area of reception and for this reason we believe that we can build sustainable policies in relation to the reception of migrants and refugees," he said.
