The Center for Population Studies presents the publication Profile of Fixed-Date Migrants in the Federal District - 2000 and 2010 - tenth volume of Demografia em Foco. This work is part of the project "Internal Migration in the 1990s and 2000s in selected UFs: changes and continuities" developed under the Technical Cooperation Agreement with IPEA.
The study analyzes the characteristics of immigrants from the Federal District aged 18 and over, by sex, age group, level of education, income and occupation by sector of activity, and compares this information with the situation of emigrants. It was based on census data by state for 2000 and 2010, with information on fixed-date migrants. In this way, it was possible to form an overview of migration, the profile of migrants and their role in shaping the demographics of the Federal District.
