SPIRITUALITY (ALSO) ON THE WAY OUT

When Jesus inhabits a person's heart, they will necessarily seek out the presence of others, as if infected by the light of the Good News, doing everything they can to make it shine ever brighter. Every seed tends to germinate and expand, either by taking root downwards, sinking into the dark, damp soil of the earth, or upwards, being reborn in leaves, flowers and fruit. Drunk, it thirsts for fresh air, sunshine and blue skies. In the same way, when Jesus inhabits the heart of a family or community, they will necessarily seek out the conviviality of others, broadening the scope of their relationships and the light of the Good News. From being a ghetto, a bubble or an enclosed hiding place, the family/community is transformed into an environment open to encounter and confrontation, to dialog and solidarity.
