ASCALA - 20 YEARS CHANGING LIFE STORIES

In addition to telling the story of the founding of the Scalabrinian Association for the Service of Human Mobility (ASCALA) in 2004, the book presents a detailed analysis of migration policies and the living conditions of migrants and their families, especially those of Haitian descent. In its pages, the pastoral and social work of the sisters is highlighted, who, with their mission, seek to transform lives and promote a more humane migration that respects fundamental rights.

The book is also a tribute to the people who have been part of this mission and who, with their dedication, have embraced the migrant cause. Each story reflected in this work is a living testimony to the legacy of the founder, St. Juan Bautista Scalabrini, reaffirming the importance of a Church on the move, committed to synodality and action on the frontiers of human dignity.
