The technological revolution resulting from globalization in the 21st century, with the advent of the internet and the expansion of individual access to information, is a marked feature of contemporary society. Inevitably, this reality is also part of the panorama of international migration and the daily lives of migrants today.
Paradoxically, in the relationship between migration and the media, we see discourses in which intercultural encounters are valued and, at the same time, others in which stereotypes and xenophobic and criminalizing approaches to migration and migrants are disseminated and reproduced.
